    The Move Forward Foundation is committed to helping people in the Coulee Region who need help breaking free from a life of abuse. Feeling trapped in a home that is not safe, affects every other aspect of your life. Our goal is to help those people escape violent living situations, so they can start a new journey and truly move forward with their life.

  • MOVE TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

    Our flagship campaign that started it all. Through the Luz Family's former moving company, Coulee Region Moving Services, they provided free moves for victims of domestic violence so they could escape to a safe home.

     

    CRMS was the first moving company in Wisconsin to offer this type of service for their community.

  • HOOPS 4 HOPE

    La Crosse's annual 4 on 4 competitive basketball tournament for men at Aquinas High School.

     

    All funds raised go towards New Horizons Shelter & Outreach Center so they can provide better on-site resources to women and children who are trying to escape domestic violence.

  • CALLING 4 CHANGE

    Escaping domestic violence can be extremely difficult. Especially if the perpetrator withholds money or resources from the victim.

     

    Calling 4 Change raises funds to provide free cell phones for women that they can use to get out of a violent home and into a safe place.

  • THE MOVE FORWARD FOUNDATION GOLF OUTING

    Domestic violence is not only traumatizing for the intimate partner who is being abused in the relationship, but also the kids who witness or experience it.

     

    Proceeds from this golf scramble will go to help pay for school supplies and clothing for kids who come from low income families and have witnessed or experienced domestic violence in their home. With your help, they can go into the new school year with confidence and hopefulness for a brighter future ahead.

     

    Thank you to everyone who played or sponsored our scramble last August! It was an absolute success our first year ever hosting this!

    Meet the members who help create change the Coulee Region needs.

    Colin Luz

    President

    Colin is the Founder of The Move Forward Foundation and owner of several small businesses in La Crosse. His original company, Coulee Region Moving Services, was founded in 2014 and had become the top rated moving company in La Crosse County. Part of their success is because in 2017, they started offer FREE moves to victims of domestic violence.

    Brad Reinhart

    Vice President

    Brad is the Development Director for Aquinas Catholic Schools and the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Aquinas High School. Brad and Colin have been working together since 2004 when Brad was the Park & Rec Assistant Director in Holmen and Colin was a referee and coach for him. Their relationship throughout the years is a key part to the founding and success of The Move Forward Foundation.

    Anna Luz

    Secretary

    Anna is the other Founder of The Move Forward Foundation and is married to Colin. Anna is a Realtor at Raven Realty in Onalaska and also the Head Dance Coach at Viterbo University. Anna has a passion for finding ways to help victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking and will be instrumental to the success of this new venture.

    Kamryn Ronca

    Treasurer

    Kam works for Northwestern Mutual in Onalaska and helped run our Hoops 4 Hope event back in 2018 with Colin when she was the intern for Coulee Region Moving Services. Kam has great vision and organizational skills to help our non-profit grow and help others!
